Fico Gutierrez continues his victory over voters. He has stepped up his campaign in Boyaca, including a visit to the Virgin of Chiquinquira

Federico Gutierrez as presidential candidate says that votes can only be won on the street. There are still 32 days to the opening round of the presidential race and he's making a promise to take on Gustavo Petro, who is his main rival, in the House of Narino vote in the second round.

Gutierrez was up early on Saturday morning to Boyaca the religious department in accordance with tradition. It was also the place that, Petro visited this Friday. Formerly,  https://twitter.com/ficogutierrez  of Medellin and a current center-right candidate, arrived in Tunja, where he spoke with academics, businesspeople and agricultural farmers as well as peasants, among other people.

Fico's main meeting took place at Tunja Convention Center. Here Fico brought together a large number of people who voted for him on May 29.

Federico, along with hundreds of colombians, posted the Twitter video where he expressed his gratitude to Tunja citizens and said that he was sure to succeed. The tweet also said: "We're Going To Win We All, We Go for the Presidency to Transform and Unite Colombia." The presidential candidate captured a crowd of people supporting him without stopping.

"Happy at Boyaca!" He said he was very happy in Boyaca because he is the President of the People.

The second-placed voter on the ballot, the pointer, was able to make it to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira. This is a strategic site where many faithful and their followers come from all over of the country each weekend. In the midst of the attention of his followers as well as those who were waiting to receive the morning Eucharist the leader of the center-right sat down and made an offer to the Virgin.

"I sought the Virgin to give me a lot of wisdom. I asked her to help me and all families in Colombia to be humble and peaceful." he replied.

The presidential candidate made the video of his time at the location. Prior to his entry the area, he was welcomed by many individuals who were from the area. They also gave him a warm hug and wore the representative clothing of the Colombian municipality.

Gutierrez arrived to the temple of the holy rites in the form of the Boyacan ruana (traditional Boyacan ruana) and the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira (a symbol of faith that he displayed throughout his political campaigns). The Antioquian had been to Jericho (Antioquia) just three weeks before and gathered with Mother Laura, the sole Colombian saint recently canonized by Pope Francis.

In Chiquinquira the presidential candidate used the occasion to welcome the people and make some announcements in the event of arriving at the presidential palace. Fico Gutierrez    spoke about work, he said that Tunja is the second largest city with the highest rate of unemployment in the country, so in his government plan he aims to create "about 2 thousand new jobs, including the creation of at least 300 new companies for Boyaca".

He also said that the department must promote sustainable mobility. He also affirmed his belief that the Strategic Public Transport System's structure should be prioritized in pursuit of these goals. Together, they said they would collaborate to build routes and cycle tracks.
